I have found out a few cool things today. One, I no longer have to go to my internship. This will free up Tuesdays and Thursdays for me to be able to complete this infernal project. Two, my boyfriend got promoted. He's a real grown up boy with a salary and full time hours and everything! And the title of Manager! I guess I'll have to start calling him Mr. Manager...
Anyway. I'm entering buckle down mode and I'm excited. I have a plan for my process book and everything. I want it to be like a volume of poetry, with a hand done case binding and nice creamy paper, minimal text on one side of the spread and images/captions on the other. Digestible amounts of information. Plenty of white space. Sooo, yeah!
I also need to build my exhibition thingee and decide what to include in the actual exhibition - whether or not to use the walls of my viewing booth as gallery wallspace - whether to include some additional graphic design element. I was thinking it would be cool to have little slips of paper with awesome stanzas from poems attached to some takeaway object, or maybe inside little containers, or something!
AWESOME: Alex just suggested I use seed paper. I could letterpress onto the paper and people take them home and plant them and they would totally complete the metaphor. I would like for them to come inside something...like a fortune cookie type thing that isn't a fortune cookie...
Hmmmm....
